The need for the Minister for Justice to consider the possibility of increasing the number of permanent gardaí in the Meath coastal area.

I also received notice from Senator Rory Kiely of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Enterprise and Employment to provide assistance to the Neodata plants in Newcastlewest and Kilmallock, County Limerick, which are due to close at Christmas.

I also received notice from Senator Neville of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Enterprise and Employment to ensure that State agencies immediately find replacement industries following the closure of the Neodata factories in Newcastlewest and Kilmallock, County Limerick.

I also received notice from Senator Daly of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to indicate the funds available for small local sports and recreation projects; and if she will sanction funds for such projects in County Clare.
