Wednesday, 13 Dec 1995

Vol. 145 No. 14

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Henry that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to ensure that all doctors can fulfil their ethical obligations to their patients.

I have also received notice from Senator Kelleher of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry to consider the reintroduction of livestock quarantine for animal imports.

I have also received notice from Senator Cotter of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment to increase substantially the rate support grant notified to Castleblayney Urban District Council for 1996.

I regard the matters raised as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senators Henry and Kellehers' matters and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. The other Senator may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
