Vol. 148 No. 2

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Daly of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to expedite the provision of a new primary school for Kilkee, County Clare, in view of the fact that the convent school has been condemned; and the reason for the delay in proceeding with the project.

I have also received notice from Senator Honan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to appoint a remedial resource teacher in Camross national school, County Laois.

I have also received notice from Senator Maloney of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Marine to give written confirmation to Hydro Seafood, Fanad, County Donegal, relating to approval and grant assistance for the proposed processing plant at Fanad, in order to secure 35 jobs at present and allow for the creation of an extra 20.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senators Daly's and Honan's matters and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Maloney may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
