I move:

That the Orders of Reference of the Joint Committee on Commercial State-sponsored Bodies be amended—

(i) in paragraph (1), by the deletion of "(which shall be called the Joint Committee on Commercial State-sponsored Bodies)" and the substitution therefor of "(which shall be called the Joint Committee on State-sponsored Bodies)";

(ii) in paragraph (1), by the deletion of "engaged in trading or commercial activities";

(iii) by the addition of the following to paragraph (12):

":and provided further that, in the case of a substitute nominated by a party which is an Opposition party, such substitute may be a member of the Opposition";

(iv) by the addition of the following paragraph after paragraph (13):

"(14) That the Joint Committee shall have regard to the remit of the Committee of Public Accounts in relation to the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act, 1993, in its examination of State-sponsored Bodies."; and

(v) by the addition of the following bodies to the Schedule:

Bord Fáilte

FÁS

Forbairt

Forfás

IDA-Ireland

National Roads Authority

Shannon Free Airport

Development Company

Teagasc

Údarás na Gaeltachta.

I am disappointed that we do not have some explanation for this motion.

It is being taken without debate.

Was that agreed?

I am disappointed with that as well because there should be an opportunity to debate why this is being done.

We have dealt with item 2.

I cannot be responsible for the punctuality of Senator Ross at the Order of Business.

Question put and agreed to.
