Seanad Éireann debate -
Wednesday, 30 Oct 1996

Vol. 149 No. 3

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Mooney that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

To ask the Minister for Enterprise and Employment to ensure that elected councillors who are members of county enterprise boards receive out of pocket expenses for their attendance at meetings of the respective boards similar to other members of such boards.

I have also received notice from Senator Roche of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to immediately sanction the building by the County Wicklow vocational education committee of a second level school at Kilcoole, County Wicklow, and to recognise that this matter must be immediately resolved in order to save the site purchased for this school from being developed for alternative purposes.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they can be taken at the conclusion of business.
