I have notice from Senator Cotter that, on the motion for the Adjournment today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to provide funding for the building of a new national school at Urbleshanny, County Monaghan.

I have also received notice from Senator Kelleher of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to upgrade Cork regional technical college to the status of an institute of technology.

I have also received notice from Senator Mooney of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment to review the allowances paid to elected councillors introduced in 1995.

I have also received notice from Senator Farrelly of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment to approve the commencement of work on the Kildalkey village sewerage scheme.

I have also received notice from Senator Henry of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Tourism and Trade to introduce regulations to prevent the practice where products which appear to be Irish are, in fact, manufactured outside this country.

I have also received notice from Senator Maloney of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment to provide funding for a new fire station in Buncrana, County Donegal.

I have also received notice from Senator Sherlock of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to give urgent consideration to have the plans for a new vocational education committee school at Summerhill, Mallow, expedited.

I have also received notice from Senator Neville of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to sanction the extension to replace the prefabricated classrooms at Pallaskenry national school, County Limerick.

I have also received notice from Senator Daly of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Marine to outline the funding which will be provided for coastal erosion work in County Clare and the money which is available from the EU for such measures.

I regard the matters raised by Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Cotter's and Senator Kelleher's matters and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
