Vol. 150 No. 1

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Neville that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to sanction the extension to replace the prefabri- cated classrooms at Pallaskenry national school, County Limerick.

I have also received notice from Senator Fahey of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to approve tenders for the interim development at University College Hospital, Galway, and approve the major hospital control plan for the construction of a proper acute hospital for the West.

I have also received notice from Senator Rory Kiely of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry to immediately reinstate his staff at Henshaws Meat Factory. Dock Road, Limerick, to enable them to reopen the slaughterhouse and to allow the plant function properly.

I have also received notice from Senator Cotter of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht to press ahead with the feasibility study for the Ulster Canal.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Neville's and Senator Fahey's matters and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
