Seanad Éireann debate -
Thursday, 24 Jun 1999

Vol. 159 No. 20

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Costello that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to ensure that the eleventh assistant teacher in St. Catherine's girls' national school, Cabra is retained in the school on an ex-quota or other basis.

I have also received notice from Senator Gallagher of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment and Local Government to implement the remaining provisions of the Waste Management Act, 1996, especially those which allow local authorities to properly control the collection of waste within their areas.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
