Seanad Éireann debate -
Thursday, 25 Nov 1999

Vol. 161 No. 6

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Kathleen O'Meara that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to revoke S.I. 271/99 which will make St. John's wort and other herbal remedies available only on prescription from 1 January 2000.

I have also received notice from Senator Joe Costello of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands to assist in the conservation of St. Alphonsus Chapel and Monastery, Drumcondra.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
