Seanad Éireann debate -
Wednesday, 1 Dec 1999

Vol. 161 No. 9

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator O'Meara that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to make a statement clarifying the position regarding the sale of the former Offray Ribbon plant, Roscrea, County Tipperary, six months after its closure because the sale is contingent on a second redundancy payment being made to the former employees there.

I regard the matter raised by the Senator as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and it will be taken at the conclusion of business.
