I have notice from Senator Ross that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Foreign Affairs to allocate additional emergency funding towards the Mozambique flooding disaster.
I have also received notice from Senator Quinn of the following matter:
In the light of the failed attempt by the EU to impose a candidate for the managing directorship of the International Monetary Fund who is clearly unacceptable to the international community, the need for the Minister for Finance to lead his colleagues towards a situation where nominations for such posts are made on merit and not on the national or regional origin of the candidate.
I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
