Vol. 167 No. 5

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Thérèse Ridge that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to sanction the retention of the eleventh mainstream post in Talbot Senior National School, Dublin 22, as the suppression of this post will breach the Department's guidelines for disadvantaged schools.

I have also received notice from Senator Taylor-Quinn of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to provide funding for the purchase and refurbishment of Stella Maris Nursing Home, Lisdoonvarna, so that the elderly of north Clare can be provided with proper facilities.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
