Vol. 168 No. 9

Business of Seanad.

I have received notice from Senator Mooney that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to outline the progress which has been made on a resolution passed by County Leitrim Vocational Education Committee regarding the possibility of renting accommodation to accommodate the new PLC course at Lough Allen college, Drumkeeran, County Leitrim, and to outline the decision that has been taken on the provision of grant assistance for computers for this class.

I have also received notice from Senator Taylor-Quinn of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to address immediately the serious situation in Meelick national school, County Clare, in relation to accommodation, health and safety regulations and general facilities.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
