I move:
That Seanad Éireann calls on the Israeli Government and the Palestinian administration to declare a ceasefire for the duration of Holy Week and Easter, so that during this period intensive efforts can be made by all concerned to recommence negotiations in the Middle East, so as to bring about a lasting peace in this troubled land and create a permanent State for Palestine and a guaranteed future for the State of Israel.
