Vol. 176 No. 19

Business of Seanad.

I have received notice from Senator O'Meara that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to ensure that the proposals to transfer the assets of Shannon Development to the new Shannon Airport authority are not proceeded with, in view of the serious economic damage which would be done to the region should this happen.

I have also received notice from Senator Browne of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to indicate when a decision will be made on the band designation for the Presentation College, Carlow, which is currently at stage five in the schools building programme.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
