Vol. 178 No. 23

Business of Seanad.

I have received notice from Senator Browne that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport to address the anomaly which may arise for former members of the Garda Síochána when they must apply for a provisional driving licence and re-sit the driving test when they retire.

I have also received notice from Senator Wilson of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to move forward without further delay proposals to finalise a suitable site for the location of the Department of Communications, Marine and Natural Resources in Cavan town.

I have also received notice from Senator Feighan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources to outline the actions he proposes to take to resolve the impending postal dispute.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
