Vol. 195 No. 12

Business of Seanad.

I have received notice from Senator Keaveney that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism to outline the strategy proposed, if any, in conjunction with the Department of Education and Science, to deliver on the sub-committee report of the Arts Act that focused on music and education.

I have also received notice from Senator Doherty of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to support the local youth project in Gweedore, County Donegal, and to provide funding to employ a youth worker in the area.

I have also received notice from Senator McFadden of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources to reverse his decision to close commercial eel fishing in Ireland until 2012.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
