Vol. 196 No. 3

Business of Seanad.

I have received notice from Senator Cecilia Keaveney that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to outline the current regulations in respect of dangerous dogs and whether the animal welfare legislation will embrace change in supporting those at risk from such dogs.

I have also received notice from Senator Nicky McFadden of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to outline when construction of an extension for Baylin national school, Athlone, will commence and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
