Vol. 231 No. 13

Business of Seanad

I have received notice from Senator Trevor Ó Clochartaigh that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

Go dtabharfaidh an tAire Dlí agus Cirt agus Comhionannais soiléiriú ar an dtógfar san áireamh an chaoi ar láímhseáileadh cás Dhomhnall Uí Lubhlaí mar chuid den obair atá le déanamh ag an gcoiste neamhspleách atá ainmnithe aici le h-athbhreithniú a dhéanamh ar obair na Roinne sin.

I have also received notice from Senator Cáit Keane of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to discuss the fact that Firhouse Educate Together national school is operating from a community centre which is most unsuitable and the need to find a suitable school building on a suitable site without delay.

I have also received notice from Senator Paul Bradford of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to outline his views on concerns expressed that the change in the pupil-teacher ratio in small national schools is having an adverse effect on the pupils in these schools.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
