Vol. 233 No. 3

Business of Seanad

I have received notice from Senator Mark Daly that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade to outline the meetings at which the release of the files concerning the Dublin and Monaghan bombings, the Ballymurphy shootings and the issue of the military reaction force undercover unit killings were raised, and whether or not the Government is pursuing the reopening of the "hooded men's" file following the "Prime Time" special programme.

I have also received notice from Senator Denis Landy of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine to provide a comprehensive update on the current situation pertaining to the control of ash dieback and on ash stock level projections in the short, medium and long term.

I have also received notice from Senator Mary Moran of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to address the unsuccessful summer works scheme application for an institute, details supplied, which has applied for security works in an effort to deter the ongoing anti-social behaviour of recent months on the school grounds.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
