Vol. 246 No. 3

Business of Seanad

I have received notice from Senator Kieran O’Donnell that, on the motion for the Commencement of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport to provide an update on his current plans for the funding and construction of the M20 Cork to Limerick motorway.

I have also received notice from Senator Paudie Coffey of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport to outline his plans to provide capital funding for Waterford Regional Airport to extend its runway in order that a sustainable future for the airport can be secured.

I have also received notice from Senator Terry Leyden of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to address concerns about funding for the €7.87 million ten-bed rehabilitation unit at Roscommon University Hospital and to detail when the planned development will commence.

I have also received notice from Senator Máire Devine of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to outline how his Department intends to deal with the serious concerns being raised by the Psychiatric Nurses Association which have led to planned industrial action.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion and they will be taken now. Senator Máire Devine has withdrawn her Commencement matter which I had selected for discussion.
