I have received notice from the following Senators that they propose to raise the following matters:

Senator Fiona O'Loughlin - The need for the Minister for Justice to establish a domestic violence register in Ireland.

Senator Martin Conway - The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on his plans to deliver a package of appropriate healthcare supports and compensation package to Thalidomide survivors.

Senator Paul Gavan - The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to make a statement on the application from Limerick City and County Council for a dedicated affordable homes team.

Senator Lisa Chambers - The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to increase the qualifying income threshold for council housing assistance supports for a qualifying family in band 3 and implement a commensurate increase in bands 1 and 2.

Senator Malcolm Byrne - The need for the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications to provide an update on the implementation of the provisions of the Circular Economy and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2022, with regard to the deployment of CCTV and other technologies to address illegal dumping.

Senator Seán Kyne - The need for the Minister for Health to provide an update on the delivery of a new emergency department at University Hospital Galway.

Senator Lynn Boylan - The need for the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications to make a statement on the possibility of mobile phone and broadband blackouts this winter in the event of power cuts.

The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion and I have selected Senators Fiona O'Loughlin, Martin Conway, Paul Gavan and Lisa Chambers and they will be taken now. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters that they wish to raise.
