I have received notice from the following Senators that they propose to raise the following matters:Senator Pauline O'Reilly - The need for the Minister for Education to provide an update on the implementation of the new pay deal for school secretaries.Senator Malcolm Byrne - The need for the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications to provide an update on the use by local authorities of CCTV to combat illegal dumping and any campaign aimed at tackling littering and illegal dumping.Senator Barry Ward - The need for the Minister for Justice to provide increased funding to Dublin district mortuary to ensure the efficient delivery of post-mortem services and to provide for the return of remains to families as soon as may be practicable. Senator Sharon Keogan - The need for the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth to make a statement on the process of selecting recipients for funding for projects from unspent moneys from schemes for the Traveller and Roma communities, migrant integration and the Magdalen laundry redress fund.Senator Fiona O'Loughlin - The need for the Minister for Justice to outline when he expects to receive the report from the expert forum on antisocial behaviour” in light of escalating antisocial behaviour in south Kildare.Senator Garret Ahearn - The need for the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to make a statement on measures to support employees in the tech sector at risk of redundancies.Senator Maria Byrne - The need for the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications to provide an update on actions being taken to ensure the reduction in household charges by energy suppliers.Senator Lynn Boylan - The need for the Minister for Transport to use the powers available under section 8 of the Road Safety Authority Act 2006 to direct the Road Safety Authority to publish statistics relating to road safety.Senator Robbie Gallagher - The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement regarding engagement between the HSE and optometrists to make greater use of optometrist services in order to reduce hospital waiting lists.Senator Paul Gavan - The need for the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to make a statement on Ireland's compliance with EU rules under the directive on European works councils.Senator Tim Lombard - The need for the Minister for Finance to introduce regulations to ensure engagement between vulture funds and clients.The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion and I have selected Senators Pauline O'Reilly, Malcolm Byrne, Barry Ward and Sharon Keogan and they will be taken now. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters that they wish to raise.
