Technological Universities Act 2018 (Section 44F) (Appointed Day) Order 2023: Referral to Joint Committee

I move:

That the proposal that Seanad Éireann approves the following Order in draft:

Technological Universities Act 2018 (Section 44F) (Appointed Day) Order 2023,

copies of which have been laid in draft form before Seanad Éireann on 12th June, 2023, be referred to the Joint Committee on Education, Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, in accordance with Standing Order 71(2)(b), which, not later than 27th June, 2023, shall send a message to the Seanad in the manner prescribed in Standing Order 75, and Standing Order 77(2) shall accordingly apply.

I welcome guests of Senator McGahon to the Public Gallery. They are Peter K. Miller and his wife Barbara Miller from Montreal, Canada. They are very welcome to the Houses of the Oireachtas. I cannot give them homework off but I hope they have a very pleasant visit to Ireland and to Leinster House. They are in very august company in Senator McGahon, who is one of our young rising stars in the Parliament. They are very welcome.
