I have received the following message from the President, an tUachtarán:
In pursuance of the provisions of Article 26 of the Constitution, I, Michael D. Higgins, President of Ireland, after consultation with the Council of State, have referred sections 9, 10, 39, 40(2), 42, 43, 45, 46, 47, 51, 57 and 58 of the Bill entitled Judicial Appointments Commission Bill 2022 to the Supreme Court for a decision on the question as to whether the said sections of the Bill are repugnant to the Constitution or to any provision thereof.
