Gnó an tSeanaid - Business of Seanad

I have received notice from the following Senators that they propose to raise the following matters:

Senator Eugene Murphy - The need for the Minister for Education to make a statement on teacher shortages in Keadue National School, County Roscommon.

Senator Vincent P. Martin - The need for the Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works to provide an update on the ongoing issue concerning the Castletown lands in Celbridge, County Kildare and the short- to medium-term plans of the OPW to resolve the issues arising.

Senator Tim Lombard - The need for the Minister for Health to confirm that the HSE will continue to approve and reimburse new medicines from next January onwards.

Senator Emer Currie - The need for Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science to make a statement on the need for CAO reform for students in Northern Ireland.

Senator Mary Fitzpatrick - The need for the Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works to make a statement on a commencement date for the national monument on Moore Street.

Senator Sharon Keogan - The need for the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media to make a statement on the Irish Amateur Boxing Association's investigation into the use of the National Stadium for the services of Christian Voice Ireland.

Senator Malcolm Byrne - The need for the Minister for Health to provide an update on the proposed primary care centre at Gorey and the HSE clinic building at Camolin, County Wexford.

Senator Robbie Gallagher - The need for the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media to make a statement on the capital framework proposed for St. Tiernach's Park, Clones, County Monaghan.

Senator Martin Conway - The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to review the funding and grant thresholds for housing adaptation grants for older people and people with a disability to reflect the increased costs of construction.

Of the matters raised by the Senators suitable for discussion, I have selected Senators Murphy, Martin, Lombard and Currie and they will be taken now.

I regret to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator Keogan on the ground that the relevant Minister has no official responsibility in the matter raised. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
