I have received notice from the following Senators that they wish to raise the following matters.

Senator Mary Fitzpatrick - The need for the Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works to make a statement on the commencement date for the national monument on Moore Street.

Senator Robbie Gallagher - The need for the Minister for Finance to ensure that all homeowners have the same rights and protections, including those whose loans are with vulture funds.

Senator Tim Lombard - The need for the Minister for Transport to provide an update on the progress of phase 2 of the N71 Bandon southern relief road extension.

Senator Mark Wall - The need for the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth to make a statement on the allocation of resources for the carrying out of clinical reassessment of assessment of needs cases in the CHO 7 area.

Senator Martin Conway - The need for the Minister for Health to provide an update on the provision of funding for new medicines in 2024; and the plans to provide a sustainable funding model and system for 2025 and future years.

Senator Paul Daly - The need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine to review the targeted agricultural modernisation scheme grant reference costs given the differential between the reference costs and actual costings.

Senator Maria Byrne - The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to examine the viability of the introduction of a grant towards the upgrading of individuals' septic tanks that have failed the percolation test.

Senator Eugene Murphy - The need for the Minister of State with special responsibility for mental health and older people to provide an update on the proposed 50 bed unit at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Roscommon.

Senator Paul Gavan - The need for the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications to make a statement on the deposit return scheme and disability access to the reverse vending machines located in stores.

Senator Emer Currie - The need for the Minister for Education to consider a central application process for post-primary schools, similar to that used in areas of north Dublin and Limerick, to assist in the backlog in allocation of school places in Dublin 15, and other parts of the greater Dublin area, and as envisaged by section 9 of the Education (Admission to Schools) Act 2018.

Senator Vincent P. Martin - The need for the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media to provide an update on the efforts being made to bring the chair of John Devoy to Ireland in advance of the celebrations being organised by Kildare County Council in his honour.

The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion and I have selected Senators Fitzpatrick, Gallagher, Lombard and Wall and they will be taken now.

The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters that they wish to raise.
