Report of Select Committee.

In accordance with Standing Order 79B, I propose the following draft report be sent to the Clerk of the Dáil:

"The Select Committee on Education and Science has considered the Scientific and Technological Education (Investment) Fund Bill, 1997, and has made no amendments thereto."

Report agreed to.

Ordered to report to the Dáil accordingly.

The Clerk to the Committee will send a written message to the Clerk of the Dáil to the effect that the committee has completed consideration of the Bill without making any amendments. The Ceann Comhairle will convey that message to the Dáil at the first convenient opportunity.

That concludes business. I thank the Minister of State and his officials, the Clerk, the Assistant Clerk and the Members of the committee for their contributions to the debate. I wish everyone a happy and holy Christmas.

I thank the Chairman, his officials and the Members of the committee for their positive contributions to this historic legislation. I hope to be as positive as I can and I look forward to meeting everyone tomorrow for Report Stage.
