Section 4 amends section 12 of the 1940 Act. This also relates to section 2. It copperfastens a longstanding practice to refuse a refund of renewal fees for mineral prospecting licences in the event of a revocation or termination of the licences after renewal. Section 12 of the 1940 Act precludes a refund of fees for the original grant of a minerals prospecting licence in the event of its revocation or termination.
