In accordance with Standing Order 79B the following message will be sent by the Clerk to the Clerk of the Dáil:
The Select Committee on Family, Community and Social Affairs has completed its consideration of the Finance Bill, 2000, and has made amendments thereto.
I thank the Minister, his officials and all Members.
I thank the Chair and Members opposite. While I could not agree to many of the amendments I hope they understand our difficulties in that respect. I look forward to a good Report Stage debate.
I thank the Chair for his fairness over the last two days and I thank the Minister. I hope he looks at these amendments another time. I also thank his officials.
