This provision will apply retrospectively. Is this usual or customary?
Probate tax was be introduced in June 1993 and is payable nine months after the date of death of the spouse. It would be unfair if this provision did not apply retrospectively.
There would be few people in that category.
The tax is not payable until nine months after the date of the death of the spouse; in other words, we are talking about nine months from June 1993.
