To conclude the consideration of the Bill the following message will be sent to the Dáil:
That the Select Committee on Finance and the Public Service has completed its consideration of the Finance Bill, 1999, and has made amendments thereto.
I thank the Minister and his staff from the Department of Finance and the Revenue Commission, the Members, particularly Deputies Noonan and McDowell who attended every session of the Committee Stage of this very important legislation. I thank the secretariat of the Committee and the staff of the Bills Office who prepared the briefs and the work associated with the amendments and with the orders which were changed during our proceedings.
