Report of Select Committee.

In accordance with Standing Order 79B I propose that the following message be sent to the Clerk of the Dáil:

The Select Committee on Heritage and the Irish Language has completed its consideration of the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands (Powers and Functions) Bill, 1997 and has made amendments thereto and has amended the Title to read as follows: "AN ACT TO CONFER ON THE MINISTER FOR ARTS, HERITAGE, GAELTACHT AND THE ISLANDS CERTAIN ANCILLARY FUNCTIONS IN RELATION TO PROPERTY, TO CLARIFY AND EXTEND THE MINISTER'S FUNCTIONS IN RELATION TO CERTAIN INLAND WATERWAYS, FERRY SERVICES AND OTHER MATTERS, TO AMEND THE HERITAGE ACT, 1995, AND TO PROVIDE FOR RELATED MATTERS.".

Report agreed to.

Ordered to report to the Dáil accordingly.

The Select Committee adjourned at 4.35 p.m.
