Report of Select Committee.

In accordance with Standing Order 79(b) I propose the following message be sent to the Clerk of the Dáil:

The Select Committee on Justice, Equality and Women's Rights has completed its consideration of the Courts Service (No. 2) Bill, 1997 and it has made no amendment thereto.

Report agreed to.

Ordered to report to the Dáil accordingly.

I thank the Minister. The Tribunal of Inquiry Evidence (Amendment) Bill, 1998, has been referred to the Select Committee. It is proposed to take the Bill on Tuesday next, 31 March, at 2.30 p.m. Is that agreed? Agreed.

The Bill was dealt with in the House today. It is regarded as urgent and it is intended to have it passed before Easter.

Report Stage will be taken on Thursday of next week.

I thank the Chairman and the Select Committee for the expeditious and efficient manner in which they dealt with this important legislation.

The Select Committee adjourned at 3.40 p.m.
