SELECT COMMITTEE ON JUSTICE, EQUALITY, DEFENCE AND WOMEN'S RIGHTS debate -
Thursday, 24 Jul 2008

Business of Select Committee.

The purpose of the meeting is to consider the Immigration, Residence and Protection Bill 2008. We will adjourn at 5 p.m. I do not know when we will reconvene or whether members wish to reconvene when the Dáil is recalled early in September. Perhaps we could consider the matter at that time instead of making a commitment now. We will leave the issue and wait to see what occurs.

I welcome the Minister of State at the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform, Deputy Barry Andrews, and his officials.
