The broadcasting unit has been contacted by the media about the impact of mobile phone interference on sound quality in committee rooms. We have been informed that it can result in some sections of committee proceedings being inaudible in editing and which may have to be omitted from the transcript of proceedings. For this reason, it is important to note that mobile phones must be fully turned off. Having a mobile phone in silent mode is not sufficient as it still causes interference.
