I move amendment No. 42:
In page 44, line 19, to delete "wherever situated". Are the words "wherever situated" necessary?
SECTION 47.
I am told by the parliamentary draftsman and my officials that they were specifically inserted in section 47 to ensure that in so far as it is possible, confiscation orders made against drug traffickers and other criminals could be enforced outside the State. The wording of the section may be difficult, but it was done for that reason.
