DEPUTY CHARLES FLANAGAN IN THE CHAIR.

It has been agreed to adjourn the debate at 1.30 p.m. and, with the co-operation of Members on all sides, I hope we can conclude Committee Stage today. The Select Committee is due to take the Criminal Law (Incest Proceedings) (No. 2) Bill, 1995, next week. We are obliged to report back on both Bills no later than Tuesday, 4 July. Having regard to the limited time available in the next few weeks, it is in all our interests to ensure that we deal with our business as expeditiously as possible and in this regard matters are in our hands.

We resume debate on amendment No. 9; amendment No. 19 is related. Deputy O'Donoghue was in possession.

Transfer of Sentenced Persons Bill, 1995: Committee Stage (Resumed).
