In accordance with Standing Order 79B, the following message will be sent to the Dáil:
The Select Committee on Public Enterprise and Transport has completed its consideration of the Radiological Protection (Amendment) Bill, 1998 [Seanad], and has made amendments thereto.
I thank the Chairman for his competent and expeditious handling of these important affairs.
I do not think the Minister would have been so expeditious if the Green Party had been here.
I also thank my officials for the work they put into preparing the Bill and to colleagues across the room for their co-operation, and I look forward to proceeding with this important legislation at the next stage.
