SECTION 14.

I move amendment No. 8:

In page 12, subsection (1), line 40, after "Minister" to insert "or the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry".

The purpose of this amendment is to provide that the board may, without charge, furnish advice to the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry in the same manner as it would advise the Minister for Health. Such advice would be in the area of veterinary medicines for which the board will also be the competent authority. It is to ensure that advice is provided to the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry.

Amendment agreed to.

SECTION 16.

Has the old board received gifts of money, etc. in the past five or ten years?

Mr. O'Shea

I do not have that information, but I suspect it is unlikely that the board received such gifts. I will get the information for the Deputy.
