SECTION 33.

I move amendment No. 16:

In page 20, between lines 27 and 28, to insert the following subsection:

"(2) The National Drugs Advisory Board (Establishment) Order, 1966 (S.I. No. 163 of 1966), is hereby revoked.".

This amendment is necessary to include the National Drugs Advisory Board (Establishment) Order, 1966, among the measures to be repealed. Obviously it is intended that when the Irish Medicines Board is established the National Drugs Advisory Board will cease to exist and it is, therefore, necessary to repeal the establishment order for the NDAB. The Bill of course provides that all functions, assets, liabilities and other matters relating to the NDAB shall be transferred to the new board on its establishment.

Amendment agreed to.
