I move amendment No. 145:
In page 17, line 43, to delete "and subject to such other limitations as the Minister may impose,".
This amendment is designed to remove any ambiguity in the provision. The matter has been one of concern to all Deputies. The provision was intended as a catch-all provision but could be capable of being misunderstood. Accordingly, I propose to remove it and any benefit it may have had is outweighed by its potential for diminishing the autonomy of the universities.
