Special Committee Companies Bill, 1962 debate -
Wednesday, 10 Apr 1963

SECTION 325.

As amendments Nos. 104 and 105 appear to be cognate, I suggest that we take them together.

I move amendment No. 104:

In subsection (1), page 167, line 2, after " registered " to insert " (in a register kept in the State) ".

Sections 325 and 326 apply to " every company registered " under the old Acts and the purpose of the amendments is to ensure that the companies referred to are companies registered in the State. The words proposed to be inserted achieve just that.

Amendment agreed to.
Question proposed: " That Section 325, as amended, stand part of the Bill."

This section is the same as Section 246 of the old Act and again the reference to the Companies (Consolidation) Act, 1908, is new. That is the only difference.

Question put and agreed to.
