259 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to an application for a special needs assistant for a person attending St. Killian's Special School in Cork which has been awaiting decision since October 2003; if a decision will be made regarding this application; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department expects to be in a position to respond to the correspondence referred to by the Deputy shortly. My officials have discussed the matter with the school recently.
