95 Mr. Kehoe asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he has had recent contact with the Government of China on behalf of Falun Dafa practitioners; if he has discussed with the Chinese authorities the position of two persons (details supplied) who are unable to return here to continue their studies due to their support for Falun Dafa; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Human rights issues, including the issue of Falun Dafa, are regularly raised in contacts with the Chinese authorities. I will continue to raise such issues during my meetings with Chinese Ministers.

The situation regarding the persons referred to by the Deputy has not changed since my last reply on this matter on 27 January 2004.
