174 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if a decision will be made in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny who has lodged an application for residency on the basis of their marriage to an Irish national and was informed that a decision would be made in early 2004. The application to which the Deputy refers is currently coming under consideration. The immigration division of my Department will be in communication with the person concerned in the very near future with a view to bringing the application to a conclusion.
