185 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if he has received proposals for an upgrade to the sewerage scheme serving the town of Ashbourne, County Meath, which is regarded by the regional authority as essential to its spatial strategy; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Ashbourne sewerage upgrade scheme has been included in my Department's water services investment programme 2003-2005 as a scheme to advance through planning.

I understand that Meath County Council is currently preparing a preliminary report for the scheme for submission to my Department for approval.
