View answerI have received a report from the Garda authorities regarding the criminal complaints made by the person mentioned by the Deputy, and I am informed that the complaints made are the subject of an ongoing Garda investigation. The complainant has been informed by the Garda authorities of the progress to date in the investigation, and my office also updated him in a letter dated 30 January 2004. The Deputy will be aware that it is not the practice to comment on ongoing Garda investigations, which are operational matters for the Garda authorities.
