314 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children, further to Parliamentary Question No. 377 of 24 February 2004, the date of the original submission to his Department from the South Eastern Health Board; the number of meetings held between the board and his Department; the time frame involved in such a process; and if he will make a statement on the matter. An outline proposal on the matter referred to by the Deputy was submitted by the South Eastern Health Board to my Department on 16 June 2003. The matter was discussed during the course of three meetings with the board. The board subsequently submitted a needs assessment report in December 2003. The matter is currently under consideration by my Department in consultation with the board.
