97 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if his attention has been drawn to the substantial delays in the processing and making of REP scheme payments due to understaffing in both the Tuam and Loughrea farm development offices; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The processing of REPS payments in both offices is meeting the targets set out in the protocol on direct payments to farmers. The staffing situation is under constant review by senior management and additional resources are made available on a temporary basis as required.
